In this section you will find reviews of Aaron Ackerson.

In the January 2006 issue of the English language magazine Kansai Time Out there is a full-page interview with me. KTO's Matt Kaufman talked with me about my musical influences, lyrics, and experiences playing live in Japan, among other things. You can view the interview as it appeared in the magazine or read the full interview from which it was edited.

My album was reviewed in the "Around Hear" section of the March 2005 issue of Illinois Entertainer. It says that while my record was done "with tongue firmly in cheek," my songwriting is "anything but a joke."

Roctober #39 (published in January 2005) contains the following review written by Waymon Timbsdayle:

Aaron Ackerson "The Sexiest Man on Earth" (www.aaronackerson.com)
The new Acker-monster makes Andrew W.K. seem like Andrew W. Gay!

On July 23rd, 2004 (the day before I departed for Japan) a very positive review of my album written by rock critic Jim DeRogatis appeared in the Chicago Sun-Times. He wrote that my CD is "Well-produced...Virtuosic...A cross between Beck and Frank Zappa." Click here to read the review.

In June 2004, I sent a press kit with my CD to nationally syndicated radio host, Dr. Demento. A week or so later, I got a reply from him which included some very glowing comments about my music, saying that it is "one of the best discs we've received this year." Click here to read Dr. Demento's letter to me.

In an April 2003 interview with UR Chicago, The Scotland Yard Gospel Choir said that I am a local artist who deserves praise. Read the whole interview here.

On February 28th, 2003, the Lemon Demon song "Hyakugojyuuichi 2003," which features me on two verses was posted on Fark.com. Click here to read the comments. My favorite is Hopperd The Gauntlet's.
